I really can't understand WHY in Japan is impossible to find real medicines like Aspirin or codeine or paracetamol, I'll never be able to find out the reason why they don't want to be cured when they are ill.

we just had to spend 40 minutes studying the shelf of curative remedies for "kaze" (that is they way they call EVERYTHING from sore throat to 40°C fever) just to find out what we were supposed to buy for Serena's cough... it was distressing.

and it turned out to be a mix of curative herbs, that usually works quite well, but if you have a fever it would be nice to have some drug...

if tomorrow Serena will not be feeling any better, I'll drag her to the hospital u_u
